Intermountain Major Adverse Cardiovascular Events, or IMACE, is a risk score used to evaluate risk of future events in patients following a heart attack. Research Benjamin Horne, PhD, with the Intermountain Medical Center Heart Institute, explains how the risk score can be used to predict heart failure onset following heart attacks and provide more personalized care to patients. The new study was shared at the American Heart Association Scientific Session in New Orleans.
