Im not jewish & not even a religious person. But I agreed with all of this. He spoke truth!

We have to clear space to hold our own pain. Once we have learned to do that we are in a position to hold space for another person's pain. Some people just don't have much space. If we have suffered a big trauma and worked through it then we are in a position to hold another person who is suffering in a compassionate way. In those ways tremendous pain becomes our blessing and our gift.
