Kings of War Week: Elves Faction Breakdown

The guys move along to the next faction from Kings of War. The discussion this time turns to the Elves of Mantica and we get an in depth look at this long living race.

Worth noting that for those looking to try this out using their existing WFB army, the Elf army list can be used to write an army list for Wood Elves as well as High Elves. Can't wait to try out a game with my Wood Elves!

I am definitely leaning toward elves so far.

Will there be tree herder and forest shambler(I am assuming these are also trees?) models? I always wanted to build a forest army!

Also love dragons so in the meantime may go that route...

I took advantage of Mantic's last spring clean sale, and have around 1500 points of elves in the box ready to go. I can't wait.

Not a lot of stuff going on at sea in the miniature worlds, so it's definitely something to watch for.

Having recently returned to fantasy style war gamming, I have to recommend Kings of War. The rules are not complicated and allow for various playing styles and strategy. The models are of acceptable detail. The most intriguing aspect has to be the price. One can play this game for much less than other fantasy style war games currently available. The solidity of the rules combined with adequate miniatures and exceptional price make this game a winner.

I had not heard of this game till I saw it on Beasts of War. Haven't done much fantasy gaming but this really looks great. And elves who doesn't love elves!

What I like about Mantic elves and other figs is they aren't out of proportion to make the casting easier. The ghouls are perfect IMO

I like the idea of sea-elves? it would be cool to see some sculpts in the future that develop that sea idea aka "Mermaids etc and other sea creatures that elves have tamed" something really not done in games before .
