Thank you Nasdaq for affording Microsoft this opportunity. Thank you, Alfred, my “Partner in Change” for joining me. This year, we celebrate the 34th anniversary of Blacks at Microsoft, affectionately known as BAM, the oldest employee resource group at Microsoft. Each day, we get the opportunity to live our mission of empowering every person and organization to achieve more. Our commitment to diversity and inclusion permeates through our innovative solutions, community engagement, and how we activate our ecosystem of customers, partners, and stakeholders.

Microsoft recognizes that innovation is inclusion, and when you are given the space to own your power you empower and enlighten those around you. Inclusion allows companies to reclaim the collective wisdom of their stakeholder’s encouraging adoption of ideas from different perspectives while finding new ways to solve problems, ultimately activating a stronger organization, and positively impacting share growth. Microsoft has and will deliver through uncertainty; maintaining our inclusive innovative posture to drive growth. Now, Alfred will share the impact BAM has on Microsoft.

Our Black History Month theme is “In Our Renaissance E.R.A.” Enlightening, Reclaiming, and Activating ensures a future where black culture and black communities are respected, flourish and prosper. Our geographically dispersed chapters are empowered to deliver programs that bring this theme to life. Through connectivity we strive to achieve a strong representation of Black and African American employees, at all levels. Microsoft’s D&I strategy includes attracting and advancing talent, advocating for business and national change, and building allyship.

We are honored to join our partners at GLOBE as we ring the closing bell and continue to celebrate Black History all year long.
