Learn how to make any type of nut milk with Andoni Monforte. Different styles: "Northern Europe Style" and the "Mediterranean" one. Interesting trick to get for free extra half litre more. Demonstration using whole almonds to obtain a delicious homemade almond milk.
Method:
1-Soak the almonds overnight (or at least 2 hours)
2-Fill the Vegan Milker container with 1 litre of water
3-Put the almonds (and the sweetener if you wish) in the filtering glass
4-Blend the mixture with a hand blender for 2-3 minutes. Due to the large amount of tigernuts stored in the filtering glass the blender can eventually jam. If this happens, remove and re-insert slowly moving it in short up and down movements. (like milking a cow!!)
5-Once blended, leave it to marinate for 5 to 20 minutes.
6-Mix the pulp with a wooden spoon to begin the straining process. 7-When the pulp is quite dry, press gently using the Vegan Milker's mortar to squeeze out the last drops.
8-Keep the milk in the fridge for at least 8 hours in order to enhance the flavour.

That was very entertaining :-) A friend of mine sent me a vegan milker and I absolutely LOVE IT. When you look at all the ingredients in store-bought vegan milks you loose any desire to drink them, but with this one, I can drink as much as I want and I know they are good for me because I put all the ingredients in myself...

Question: You have mentioned using 1 liter of water. However, on my ChufaMix Vegan Milker, which I just bought a few days ago, there is a line on it at 0.8 liter, saying that is the max fill line. Are there bigger ChufaMix units in Europe perhaps, or do I just disregard this line and fill it to a full liter anyway?

Great video, thank you. Can one heat almond and hemp milk?

I can't wait to get one! It looks so much easier than the way I've been doing it...soak, blend into a pulp, then strain through cheesecloth and a strainer, which makes a bit of a mess and takes a lot longer!

I made hazelnut milk with the chufamix. It's pretty good but it's too liquid, not as thick as the Bjorg milk I used to buy.
I read on their ingredient list they put some kind of seeweed. Could that be what makes it ticker ?

What can I use myself to have a thicker plant milk ? I put the recommended amount of nuts and water and can't really afford to put more nuts which are so expensive or it would be cheaper to buy the Bjorg milk.
