The eternal magic of Florence permeates every corner of Helvetia & Bristol Firenze - Starhotels Collezione, situated in the heart of the city's historical center, just a short distance from the main attractions. Here, art, luxury, and typically Italian hospitality are combined with upscale services and exceptional eating and drinking to ensure that guests enjoy an unforgettable stay in what is, without doubt, Tuscany's most resplendent jewel.

Helvetia & Bristol is a magnificent 19th-century townhouse whose elegant style and enviable location in the center of Florence capture the hearts of the most demanding guests with its timeless charm and impeccable service.

An exquisite symbol of Florentine history, it is also one of the most prestigious hotels in the city. Established in 1894, it has welcomed many influential international figures, from Eugenio Montale and Gabriele D'Annunzio to playwright Luigi Pirandello and actress Eleonora Duse. The building, with exceptional views over the Duomo and Palazzo Strozzi, is equipped with the finest modern comforts and has been recently renovated, thanks to the contribution of Italian expert artisans, who have brought to light its reimagined heritage.

The hotel's architectural splendor, delightful Art Deco interiors, antique furnishings, sumptuous marble, 17th -century paintings, and sumptuous salons combine to reflect the atmosphere of a 19th-century Florentine aristocratic residence. In the heart of Florence's historical center, the hotel is just around the corner from the main city attractions and Via de Tornabuoni, the most exclusive shopping street in Florence.

Its 64 rooms and suites, elegant and refined, some of which offer breathtaking views over Florence, are furnished with antique pieces, artworks, and precious ornamental items. In addition, the Bristol Winter Garden Restaurant provides the ideal setting for a portion of extraordinary food and wine experience. In this unique location, Chef Pasquale D'Ambrosio creates harmony between the senses and flavors of a past that is always present. Il Baretto del Bristol is the new café in the historic center of Florence. At breakfast, Il Baretto welcomes its guests with a rich selection of croissants with classic and signature fillings, accompanied by delicious coffees and cappuccinos.

During the day, one can stop for a quick lunch, an afternoon tea, or a drink with friends. The Winter Garden opens into the Tinello, a masterpiece of high Florentine craftsmanship and beating heart of the hotel, designed by Riccardo Barthel that hosts a variety of gastronomic appointments in different moments of the day. From the 24-hour room service to the Les Clefs d'Or concierges, all the hotel's services have been specifically designed to offer guests a relaxing stay.

At Helvetia & Bristol, each detail expresses exclusive taste for beauty and high Italian craftsmanship. The 29 rooms and 35 suites, all recently renovated, are furnished with care and attention to detail to allow guests to immerse themselves in the historic Florentine culture. The refined and elegant rooms are embellished with antique furniture, works of art, and delicate objects, in perfect harmony with the woodwork and the large antique mirrors that adorn the walls. Some are characterized by a beautiful view of the city and the historic Palazzo Strozzi.

At Helvetia & Bristol, the culture of excellence extends to the gourmet restaurant and its bar, two distinguished, discreet environments where guests can experience the art of authentic Italian taste. The discerning selection of exquisite wines and unique ingredients, the passion of local producers, and the promotion of the territory come to the fore in the expertly crafted cocktails and the rich menu inspired by tradition.

The Bristol Winter Garden Restaurant is located inside the evocative Winter Garden, covered by the historic Liberty-style glass ceiling. A versatile ambiance, where mirrored screens bestow intimacy to the setting, reflecting the exquisite petroleum blue velvet of the seats, while the sophisticated wallpaper depicting the Tuscan fauna recalls classic motifs of 18th-century chinoiserie. In this unique location, Chef Pasquale D'Ambrosio creates harmony between the senses and flavors of a past that is always present. Among his proposals, the most traditional Fettuccia from Gragnano "alla Nerano", clams and calvisius caviar, and the inimitable Organic egg with pecorino cheese cream from Pienza, nipitella and white truffle, a true tribute to the Tuscan land.

Too funny…Italians make incredible clothing, food and wine…but modern architecture is just so bizarre…classic architecture is more pleasing…this reminds me of a high end version ofJolly hotels …having been to 90 countries always fun to see various architecture..ciao 👍👍👍
