Price Change Announcement

The reasons that led to the price change of Planet Nomads and the next steps.

I never looked at the price. I backed it because I wanted to help develop the game. Alot of people also don't understand the difference between an early access and launched game. Most reviews I read are based on the wrong assumption. Keep on trucking. You're doing a great job.

I agree with the decision to lower the price during the early development stages.
There is a difference in the mindset of people like me that backed the project on Kickstarter and those buying on stream.

We back on Kickstarter not for the game, but for the team and the project. The game is a long term reward.
However people buying on steam are buying a game, they have no involvement with the project/team before.

The price can always be slowly raised as major features are completed and it nears completion.
I know some of my sub have the game in their wish-lists, and this is the main reason for them.

Also thanks for the video explaining why, most developers would have dropped the price, not said why, and that lack of information creates fear in a community.

Dear Planet Nomads team: you are being honest and transparent, that is always the best policy, and the community will reward you for it. I myself have been on the fence about buying the game, but this video has convinced me. I will order it later today.

Smart decision, and it is wonderful that you pay attention to the community and address us directly with changes that could leave a bitter taste as you put it, but in the end you need to make the right decisions based on your vision for the game and what the community envisions. keep up the amazing work, Oh and thanks for the gun :P

wow, im surprised how transparent you're being with us, considering how most EA game devs treat thier players. Huge respect to yourself and your team. I can see how difficult it must have been for you guys. Stick at it, the games looking great! Also that dog! pls have him/her in more vids ;)

I have noticed that the vast bulk of the negative reviews are essentially "Why don't i have a finished game?!?!"

It's like, because some games have been in early access for a long time, and are thus fairly complete [EGS, Space Engineers etc]
People ignore the EA label, and get shitty.

Even though, every step of the way, it's got 'Alpha' and 'early days yet.' and 'there will be bugs!'
That's still not good enough for some folks.

The steam rating system needs an overhaul.
Some kind of weighting system, that ignores anyone who played for like 10 mins.

I have been playing EA-Games for a long time and i have this one on my wish list for some time, i was waiting for a promotion to buy it, I think now is a good time to test and also help developers with a little bit of $ and a positive review, keep up guys.

I actually don't know the price... But do what you guys need to do. If you really want, maybe throw in an exclusive cosmetic item or something down the line for everyone pre-price change. Keep up the great work either way

I have been following Planet Nomads progress for quite awhile now. I had the opportunity to contribute as soon as it hit early access on steam but I did not. At the time, I did not feel there was enough content as of yet to contribute to the game. However, your updates have kept me interested so far as I continue to monitor your progress. I still don't know if I'm ready to contribute yet but I do wish you well and hope that Planet Nomads is successful. Please keep up the good work despite the reviews turnout.

Perhaps I'll purchase the game in the future when I get the chance. Unfortunately right now I have other things distracting me from playing other new games.

Keep up the awesome work guys, it's not easy but you guys are doing awesome. would love to see a back to beginnings no starting constructer tech, apart from gathering tool, then slowly gather to build as it was before alpha. great game
