You can grow corn and beans ontop of the squash, it's called the three sisters technique.

One summer I had a butternut squash growing in my flat (indoors). Honestly it was kind of cool. It went over my kitchen table. Not the most practical houseplant, but one of the most fun ones I've had.

We use "ladders" for climbing/crawling veg plants. That way you can underplant with other foods crops.

We cook squash flowers. With eggs or stuffed the flowers with rice etc and cook them in the oven.

Now there is a variety that grows vertically like a bush. It produces a ton of squash. I bought the seeds from Walmart.

I use those cheapy round wire cages sold for caging tomato plants for my squash. Game changer.

This is my first year trying to plan a huge garden. I think I made a mistake where I put my Squash plants. Because now i'm trying to figure out where to put them where they aren't gonna shade anyone. I've already trellis my pumpkins outside of the garden on a ladder lol. So now I'm staking them in the direction I want them to grow.And then i'm going to send it up over the fence on a trellis, like I did with the pumpkins😂

I’m from a small town in the northwestern United States, the only time anyone in town locks their doors is during zucchini season. I have seen entire front porches and vehicles jam packed with these suckers as a result of someone failing to click the deadbolt or hit the lock button before Sunday School.
