Whenever you do bug hunting on different websites, it may possible the bug hunting program has its own condition to use a custom request header according to their Rules Of Engagement. Also, try always to use your own custom request header so that the website's tech. team/owner is aware that you are doing the hunting on their website.

You can also add a new header in all requests instead of replacing the request header as shown in the video. The procedure will be the same, only the change will be, you don't have to mention anything in the "Match" parameter, and remember that "Regex Match" will be unchecked.

Below is an example of Adding A Custom Header in Burpsuite:

• Type: "Request Header"
• Match: (left it empty)
• Replace: "X-Bug-Bounty: YOUR NAME / USERNAME"

Using this format you can add a custom header in your request for the burp suite project you are working on.
