Back in the early 1960's, when I was a kid, I enjoyed "easy listening" music from station KOSI in Omaha, Nebraska. I could get that station in Denver only at night on my little AM transistor radio when the atmospheric conditions were right. I would listen to a few songs in bed under my blanket before going to sleep. I always remembered to turn the radio off to avoid wasting the battery. My family was not wealthy and 9 volt batteries were not cheap. The "good old days."

"Theme from a summer place" basically brought me here, I was a little over 6 when this beautiful lush orchrestal tune came out, even though Im now in my early 70's, I enjoy( mainly Rock, Pop, Motown, British Invasion, 60's Era) i like some classical and Instrumentals as well. Percy Faith was from Canada, a great comppser, sadly he passed from Cancer anout early 1976, in his late 60's, think he was living here in the Greater LA Area of So Ca( Encino) when he passed. There is also a short clip of scenes from the movie( 1959) on You Tube, with the Theme played in rhe Background.

Tengo 65 años y recuerdo perfectamente que en mi niñez estas melodías y más en forma de orquesta, se escuchaba en las radios. Salía de la primaria y todo el recorrido hasta mi casa hiba escuchando estas melodías y canciones. A pesar de las carencias fui muy feliz gracias a mi madre que siempre estuvo a mi lado. Dios te bendiga bendita mujer.
