Thank you do much.
I first listened to these recordings 7 months ago.
Now I come back to them and they are so helpful.
Last night I told my flatmate for the last 5 years that I was not planning to return to Europe.
He tried to trigger my ego with its achilles heel.
Telling my ego it was selfish.
That I was only doing what was best for ME and not taking him into consideration/ asking him what he wanted.
Ouch.

My egos achilles heel is to be told it is selfish. As a life long people pleaser to avoid conflict, others quickly work out that to get me to do what they want, they need to say my choice/decision is self centered.

How can I tell him about ACIM? I couldn't while there and it was never a topic he would consider (soul searching).

God is my guide and I was guided back to Africa.

So to make flash cards of the last 6 workbook lessons has been ideal.
So when the creeping sensation in my body, that I feel is "worried or judged or upset", I read the cards.

When I want to do cave in and do what he wants, to avoid conflict, I tell myself that I can't please both him and the Holy Spirit.

As I fall asleep, I repeat the words on a flash card with lesson 43:
" God is my source, I cannot see you apart from him."
My ex flatmate will be fine.
He is part of God.
He ego won't understand, but that is how it is.

All will fall into place.
I let go and let God.

Amen.

OMG David. What a beautiful commentary along with this lesson. The other day I was guided to read Ch.1 VII Distortions of Miracle Impulses and after reading it I listened to this recording. It lights up my heart and brings such a big smile on my face feeling the Union. To allow going beyond the words and allow feeling what Jesus shared another when I woke up... you were with me!!! Speechless and so grateful. Thank you David. I love you 🙏🏻❤🥳

Today the meaning of "see the world as it is" has shifted some. I am beginning to see things differently! Reality comes from AWARENESS Which GOD IS!! And therefore so am I
Nothing has happened to my awareness EVER! Yet what arises in awareness seems harmful! The more I notice this is the case, the deeper my experience of peace, love and compassion becomes!

"Creator of own reality", I heared in the ACIM part one also talking about the importance of our feelings and our belief. We are here to live in love and joy and we all know that when we dont emit those vibrations we attract negative things in our lives.
Mark Dooley and Abraham Hicks and.. say the same. We are cocreating with the divine. Co creating our desires. And if I am not mistaken I heard the same on ACIM part one. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Hi, When I’m struggling with a lesson I’ll post a comment here. Replies may be helpful to myself and to others. But please don’t think I’m being argumentative about ACIM. I’m just looking for help.
Concerning Lesson 6 : If for example, I’m frustrated by someone who ( I think ) is being stupid; I can distance myself by being an observer of the emotion of frustration, rather than actually being frustrated. Also, while I’m not a Stoic - Stoics may take the view, ‘Yes that person was stupid, but I don’t care.’ So they are not frustrated either.
But I’m struggling with the idea that the persons stupidity and my feelings of frustration are not real.
Your help would be greatly appreciated understanding this lesson.

Hi David, I've been following and practicing the embodying (tantric) approaches to spiritual practice for a while now where feelings and emotions are met and gently held in awareness.
I've also just started the first few ACIM lessons having felt drawn to them and I'm wondering if there could be a contradiction between the embodied practice alongside the ACIM lessons? I really want to practice the lessons alongside what I'm already practicing with the welcoming of emotions, sensations etc. I would love to hear your thoughts about this, thank you 🙏♥️

How would this apply to the upset of having to leave my family when my body/mind dies? I want to release my fear of Death. Want to go with Grace. Strength.
