That's a huge misdiagnosis of an already obviously strained relationship. People that are that affluent, have multiple children together, are both successful and well thought of, both seemingly healthy physically, just all of the sudden begin divorce proceedings. This was just the straw that broke the camel's back. I've been through 3 divorces, and none were spur of the moment, knee jerk reactions to a single incident. Most divorces occur because of financial insecurity, marital infidelity, mental and or physical abuse to spouse or children, or sudden dramatic decline in mental or physical health and the other partner can't or won't take that burden upon themselves to care for that individual.
