American health care is in shambles. Although the issues are limitless, caps placed on new doctors per year is an easily fixable one.

Same in Finland pretty much, a doctor's association decides here how many doctors are needed and of course they keep the amount low so that their wages stay stupid high.

This, combined with how government at the very least allowed pharmaceutical companies to become a monopoly is why we have now resorted back to “oh you get a leg infection? Ok, get the hack saw.”

I order supplies from "vendors only" per policy for our hospital and only vendors, they charge 50 times what a normal item cost from another site. This also Jack's up prices

This is 100% true. My son's pediatrician was trained and practiced in Pakistan. Can to USA and recertified. As a resukt he is very well trained, knows his stuff and saved my son from infant jaundice.
He's an exception as Seamus is correct that recertification as a doctor is expensive and time consuming.

All over our city, dentist offices are opening up on every other street corner and our mailbox consistently receives ads for them. On the other hand, the area's doctors offices are all operating at capacity and the only way they open up to new patients is when one of the existing patients ceases to need any medical services, permanently (if you get my drift). Yet, in spite of the need and the demand, there aren't new general practitioners or family doctors offices opening up anywhere.
One, the government strictly controls, the other, not so much.

This is far to narrow a view.
The legislation on healthcare drives up prices, the absurd amount of bureaucracy surrounding insurance and billing drives up the doctor visit side.
Pharmaceutical monopolies and insurance company practices raise costs on the other end

Our healthcare has been the most expensive in the world before 1997.. It's because insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies own the country's medicine legislation

This is not the reason they are expensive. The only reason it’s so expensive is because of our private healthcare insurance system refusing to pay and an therefore to compete this there is a massive amount of admins at all hospitals sold tasked with dealing with insurance companies which makes them forced to raise prices for everything.

The training of doctors is inside of the Medicare budget. Both sides have slashed that for years. We need to unap the limit for doctors. This will decrease quality later and cause a future health crisis in 20 years but will solve our current woes.

Having worked in pharma I can say the only reason it’s cheaper in other countries is because the US is essentially subsidizing the rest of the world. Although the US is very expensive to get a drug approved by FDA it’s usually a fairly meaningful process that does produce higher quality.

Lest we forget, the pharma-insurance-hospital rackets decide on what prices will be, with different prices for the same services in most cases. They refuse to give you the prices up front because their pricing structure isn't fixed.
