Surviving 2 Under 2: A Stay-at-Home Dad Day in the Life

It's a crazy story but this was the beginning of the rest of our lives.

1 year ago, I was a stay-at-home dad and it was by far the hardest job of my life.
Prior to this, I worked a 10 year career in construction but never loved it. I found passion for video production and started working towards making that a full time thing eventually. Meg and I decided that I would be able to go full time on my business once we were done having kids, so that's what happened.

We started having kids and Meg stopped working until we were done. After our second child, she went back to work and I quit my career to take care of the kids until our 2nd was 12 months and they both could go back to daycare (needed to build a stronger immune system).
So for 10 months, I stayed with the kids and did my best to keep them safe, well fed and well rested. The hardest part was that they were both under 2 years old, which meant they were both pretty much babies.

But that also made for some really fun days.
This video was filmed in October of 2021 so that was 18 months ago at this point. If you were to ask me now, what's harder: having 2 under 2 or a 3 year old and an 18 month. I might say the latter.

This channel is about being an active parent both in your child's lives and outdoors recreationally.

My name is Jimmy and I have an amazing wife named Meg. We live in Idaho with our sons, Brady (Born 2020) and Mason (Born 2021). My wife and I are both very active people who love camping, hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding, wakeboarding and many others.

We post videos every week and would love to have you follow along on our journey!

I rarely leave comments on YouTube videos, but this was too relatable. My husband and I watch our two girls on alternating days because of our work schedules, and this is what our days look like too. Especially the part about trying to get out the door... It always takes WAY more work than you expect. Our girls are 2.5 and 7mo right now, so we get it! Great video, and great job with your boys.
