I use GH5, Viltrox, and Sigma 18-35 extensively! Camera is a beast and better than most of the cameras released in 2019! You should have more subs!! Hard work pays, keep it up!

I really want to purchase a used GH5 from Amazon. I hope the autofocus is good enough for gimbal shots for music videos. I’m fine with manual focus on handheld since I’ve been leaning handheld a lot more lately despite handing a gimbal. All I need is 4k60p and a wide lens below F2.0 so I can use some warp stabilizer without having chopped heads.

I am looking into the GH5/GH5s for my events and weddings. But I also want to do full length indie films. Would you recommend it for serious cinematography? I love it's features, durability, and reliability. But I heard the Bmpcc is better in terms of image quality. But I am also curious if I can still get comparable images by using an Atomos recorder. What are your recommendations if I want to use the GH5/s for full length independent films?

Heard that new firmware update made the auto focus very very useable and got rid of the hunting. That was the main reason I got rid of my G85. That app is so good, so darn good. Nice job!

Cool Video, I didn't need to watch it I've been shooting with the GH5 since its early days so I'm already a convert but enjoyed seeing your enthusiasm for the GH5. Its so easy to watch Youtube videos and be convinced you have the wrong camera and this helps me to not pointlessly swap.
I generally use it with a 12-35 for run n gun for its dual stabiliser, just so good. Literally just completed an interview and used the Sigma 30mm f1.4 which has a real nice look to it, I should try the 18-35 art I suppose, not got round to it because I have been using the Nikon 24-70.
I'm thinking of getting some vintage glass next and doing a cine conversion on it.
Anyway cheers all the best I'll watch out for videos from both of you, Bobby seems a nice guy so will check him out too. The GH5 still rules for 2020, and I do wonder what the GH6 may bring to the table if it arrives next

I'm still using my trusty GH4, but have been looking to upgrade recently. I keep going back and forth between the GH5, G9 & Fuji X-T3. I am primarily video, but I've been thinking of getting more into real estate & landscape photography. Any thoughts on the photo side of the GH5?
