Before this last game PFF ranked Braxton Jones the 21st best Tackle in the NFL and Darnell Wright 18th best. Maybe a new O-line coach would help them out?
I would keep him for the contract year. The Tackle Prospects in the draft are not as strong and several of the top prospects should or will play guard in the NFL.
1. Ronnie Stanley 30yrs... Injuries, age, cost and penalties are issues.
2. Alaric Jackson 26yrs... OK currently ranks 15th but is his first good year and costly.
3. Cam Robinson 29yrs... currently ranks 60th and on par with pressures and sacks.
4. Tyron Smith 34 yrs... Age and injuries.
5. Jaylon Moore 26yrs... career back-up. Looking okay but I prefer to keep Jones.
Draft Prospects
6. Will Campbell - Not very athletic and lacks length. Playing Guard in the pros is a better fit.
7. Kelvin Banks Jr. - Balance and Length are issues as well. Again, Guard may be a better fit.
8. Aireontae Ersery - Little Bend and needs development. I don't like him in the top 15.
9. Josh Simmons - Is probably the best LT Day one out of the group but I heard it's a torn patellar tendon injury and sometimes he has penalty issues.
10. Josh Conerly Jr - Young, needs more development and strength but great potential.

In my opinion the Bears should hold off on spending a first-round draft pick on a OT. This class isn't as strong as next year's class at Tackle.
Plus, if someone like Mason Graham, Abdul Carter, James Pearce Jr, Walter Nolen are available I'd like the Bears draft DT or DE in the first and go after Guard in the second.

There needs to be competition for all spots on both lines.

Braxton and Tevin will be amazing backups.

I say keep Braxton as a backup for injuries, but get his replacement.

Alaric Jackson had a good first year at Iowa and people thought him and Tristan Wirfs could both be top ten picks at the same time. But he was pretty inconsistent the rest of his time at Iowa even after Wirfs left for the NFL so I am pretty surprised he is any good in the league

I’d honestly love to see a mock draft in the situation of the bears letting potentially both Braxton and Teven walk. With that I’d imagine a trade back scenario where you draft Ersery around the teens and grabbing a new guard or center in the second round.

KB I love how he's always hitting under defenders downfield he's got that motor

With this year’s tackles we can trade down and get one of these guys, plus another second round pick. Then a IOL, DT, and best edge available with the three seconds. A RB or another lineman in round three.

the interior offensive line is a bigger issue than offensive tackle.

Better coaching and quicker release by Caleb will improve our sack rate tremendously

If this is the best of the FA market, then you need the grow through the draft

Conerly Jr is the diamond in the rough. He is my choice. He was a 5 star recruite and chose Oregon over USC in his recruitment. Dude is a baller.

BJ, he was a Fifth Round steal and he’s been a solid left tackle you don’t just find solid o linemen just anywhere especially at that key position.

We really need to upgrade the interior.
