i am still using my 3.5 years old Lenovo ryzen 4800u laptop with ubuntu, the screen was removed after the the connection was broken, now it is connected to a 27 inches monitor, and operating via trackpad&keyboard of laptop is amazingly better than a mouse&keyboard of desktop. I think in future i may still remove screen of laptop and connect it to a monitor.
