For those who want the transcript:

"Admit it. You aren't like them. You're not even close. You may occasionally dress yourself up as one of them, watch the same mindless television shows as they do, maybe even eat the same fast food sometimes. But it seems that the more you try to fit in, the more you feel like an outsider, watching the 'normal people' as they go about their automatic existences. For every time you say club passwords like 'have a nice day' and 'weather's awful today, ' you yearn inside to say forbidden things like 'Tell me something that makes you cry' or 'What do you think déjà vu is for?' Face it, you even want to talk to that girl in the elevator. But what if that girl in the elevator (and every other stranger you encounter) is thinking the same thing? Who knows what you might learn from taking a chance on conversation with a stranger? Everyone carries a piece of the puzzle. Nobody comes into your life by mere coincidence. Trust your instincts. Do the unexpected. Find the others."

I’ve been doing this for years—abruptly breaking the monotony with deep or meaningful questions. I asked a stranger I was on a work trip with about 5 minutes into the car ride, “Are you religious?” He was amazed and taken aback. To this day he thanks me for asking the question so “bravely”, as we are now close friends in our shared Christian faith.

But sometimes I notice people won’t likely respond so well to an abrupt, poignant question so out of the blue. In those cases I ease into what I want to talk about. Either I set up the question by talking about what’s been on my mind in relation to the question, or I ask something small but related and build up to it. However, I cannot seem to think of a good way to ask about faith outside of being direct.

"Nobody comes to your life by mere coincidence..." spot on ... asynchronicity... I long believed that we are all connected in some shape or form and new experiences, people, or otherwise have special meaning in our life now or in the future. Do not take it for granted, pay attention and embrace it.

At my lowest, I found myself in a subsidized apartment that was genuinely disease ridden. I came from money, thought that meant something, and it changed in one elevator ride. I got on with 2 seemingly dirty, drug addled men that on the surface didn’t offer any kind of potential. Half way up, I dropped my keys out of nowhere and before I could look down, he had kicked them BACK into my hand.
The other guy simply put his hand out, and said “let me shake your foot sir” 😂 and we were all laughing hysterically.
I had on one side of me the fastest reactions I’ll ever seen, and the other was instantaneous hilarity at all times.
It changed my perception permanently

Always take the chance... what do you have to loose... everything you've ever wanted is on the other side of fear

I speak to everyone here in Charleston, SC❤ I'm not exatratting, everyone. People look at me like im crazy more than not but I can make people smile and thats an incredible gift. I embarrassed my little one for a few years and I've all but lost everyone in my family while finding my true self. Now I see my daughter watching me and I love the question mark all over her curious face, wondering what will happen in an exchange of words with me, her Mom. I only hope that everyone I speak to is somehow touched, even a simple smile makes my day. I never planned to be like this but I realize now that I'd rather be touched in a conversation with a stranger than worry about my so called people being embarrassed of me while they walk around in their fake skin suits. It's sad we all can't just be ourselves and that be ok. I love this! Thank you

As Doctor Who once said, "I've never met anyone that wasn't important." ❤❤

This entire time I thought Chris was coming up with these off the dome and I could never measure up but looking into his iris, I think I can see the reflection of a teleprompter. This gives me hope. Keep inspiring us.

I thought about this - "Everybody carries a piece of the puzzle"... The puzzle we call "Life" 🔥

"Have a nice day" is a common blessing we wish for another as we part ways. It's actually pretty special if you consider it.

This is exactly how I feel, thank you, sometime you tend to think you are along in this way of being, but you aren’t and a reminder like this allows you to be your authentic self

And that's why I talk to everyone i meet whether it's in a line at a grocery store or in a boring class at school

One of the reasons I love New York City dearly. People here are just so open. If they don’t get a shallow-superficial vibe from you. I’ve had lovely conversations with people from all walks who I just meet.

Maybe the biggest reason people love NYC: community.

I’ve never had people not think I was weird for making comments like that, but I just want to connect with someone. Doesn’t seem like many people have that kind of depth. Nobody asks questions, not even to themselves.

Wow.. Brilliant! ❤ loved it

I guess it isn't really so bad living a mundane life if you're happy with it. It's sad though when you're just settling for something because it feels familiar and comfortable

There's also little point in just blindly and mindlessly chasing things one after the other; glorifying The Hustle lifestyle.

It really comes down to defining what happiness and success mean to You! And then having the courage to pursue that which makes your soul light up..

Not giving up on tomorrow and everything that it has to offer..And meeting people to celebrate life together as you share your stories with them, get to know theirs and find Your Tribe to just do life with!! ✨
