I couldn't agree more about fold-up backpacks They are ideal when you are on the move. You never know when you'll need to grab some groceries or something.
I take mine almost everywhere.

Yup Fillmore Reserve valves are a game changer. I don’t dread tubeless setups and refill maintenance anymore. $ well spent.

I loved the eeSilk seatpost, but the bushings failed on mine at 4000 miles under normal use — mostly road miles in fact. Cane Creek said they would send me a bushing repair kit, but it’s been over a month now!

The Party pace looks without the GCN look sounds much better

You should review the Salsa Fargo because your inbetween two sizes you can review a medium with a flat bar. I think this is an all rounder - numerous tire options, single or double or gates with belt, rear and low rider rack, fenders for commuters, and many more.

Good stuff. Very much in favor of your decision only to review certain gear. Too many folk walking in the GCN promo. Mode! New ‘best ever’ stuff every week.Although we are very different types of cyclist ( would say am more of a roadie!). I did Road Racing in 70’s..MTB’ing 80’s and love good quality bike stuff. Can’t stand Corporate, Global takeover of every aspect of life..love learning of small companies making great stuff! So keep up the good work.

Fillmore valves - I too discovered them this year and like them with one caveat - I am not able to recharge the tire with sealant by injecting into the valve (at least not using Slime sealant; maybe less viscous sealant would be injectable). It's not a big deal to take the bead off the rim to add sealant, especially being able to reseat more easily with the Fillmore valves, but it is a minor drawback I think.

Thanks for making your annual list - a lot of gems from small innovators. I use a BxB Piccolo front bag ( thank you! ) that I love. However, during the Oregon Outback ride the foam block protecting the stem shifted and the wooden dowel on the bag wore through both tape and paint! Is Jack the Rack the best support you have found to support this type of bag and protecting your paint finish. Thank you!
