I love Heartland!! It's a great family show! I hope Amy finally finds love and gives Lindy a hands on Dad. 4:22 It's not replacing Ty it's giving Amy a new partner to love and share her life with!

Heartland is a great series, but it would be alot better if the writers would stop pushing or rushing any new love interests for Amy. They'll never be able to reproduce or recreate the chemistry or dynamics that Amy & Ty had and shared for 14 seasons. Amy should remain a strong independent widowed mother. The love for her daughter Lyndy, Her love and memories of her late husband Ty, Her love for her family, and her bond and love for horses should be enough. Heartland originally was about a ranch, family, and Amy's bond and abilities with horses. It was never intended to be about a love story, yet they gave us one of the best love stories of all time with Amy and Ty.

Fans need to get over Ty. Wardle's heart just wasn't into playing Ty anymore. They should respect his decision. Wardle wouldn't want fans to stop watching Heartland because of him. As far as not wanting Amy to go on with her life that is a bit selfish. No one should have to quit living their life because they loss someone they loved. If anything Amy needs to find love again for Ty. He'd never want her to spend the rest of her life alone. Believe it or not people do go on and love again after a loss.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the show... in answer to the question though... I would still LOVE to see what they would have done if TY was still there but I also am kinda into the new paths that he's leaving open up. Life isn't always how you plan it to be and I think this show really does show that in a truly respectful way, things arent rushed like some shows fall into and makes things very hard to believe. In saying that, I do think Ty was the love of Amys life, but I also think that Ty would want her to be happy no matter what that looks like or whom it might be with. I just hope that if she does find someone new they don't forget Ty all together.

I am sorry, no Amy is not thriving. You can not build a Ty/Amy foundation for 13 years then just kill him off..wait and continue on. You're basically undoing what took over a decade to build. The second point to is that they built Ty/Amy as soul mates, less face it Ty took a bullet so his soulmate could live, the man survived a plane crash and motorcycle wreck to return to her. Would he just move on? Nope. So if they go that route it's a step closer to ending a series that should have recast the actor not kill the charector and has struggled since they did it.

The real success of Heartland was and still is the Amy and Ty love story. The dating in season 17 especially Amy's relationship with Nathan is simply the writers attempt to keep the storyline interesting, and not boring. I believe if Ty comes back to the show Heartland will continue with Ty, Amy and Lindy together again. If he doesn't return the writers will conclude the series with Amy unable to accept another(not just because Ty can't be replaced} because of her continuing strong love and feelings for Ty. She will conclude that her peace and happiness is with her as a single mother raising Lindy in the manner Ty would have wanted. In my opinion, because we had 14 years of this remarkable love story, whereby the viewers got to intimately know Ty, it makes it nearly impossible to erase him from the viewers minds and on a larger scale future Heartland seasons.
