What kind of HID kit should you get for your vehicle? Here we test 10 different colors of the Kensun HID kit.

When shopping for HID kits, you have the option to get the deep purple, deep blue, bright white, or slightly yellow HID kits. I bought a few before I decided on the right color for me. This video walks you through all colors of HID kit from 4,300K to 30,000K.

In essence, the yellow (4300K) kit will do great in fog, but won't give you much light on the road. The 30,000 will look SUPER blue (almost unnatural), but will stand out for sure. We found that the headlight kits somewhere in the middle were a great balance...somewhere around the 5000K to 6000K level.

The K stands for Kelvin, and is a measurement of how bright the HID kit is. Same goes for LED Headlight kits.

Hopefully this video helps you decide which HID kit you're looking for.

There absolutely no point in this if your camera has white balance

Kelvin is the color temperature, or just "color", not a measurement of the brightness.

Just changed factory bulb (YES its a projector and not some reflector ricer kit) It came with what looked like a 4300K and changed it to 5000K pure white and it makes a big difference. Factory bulbs are garbage and they need to stop putting in that 4300K.

You need to retrofit the headlight housing with a projector if yours didnt come with one from the factory. I have another vehicle with factory reflector that I tried to put an HID kit in because the halogens were just pitiful. Once I installed the kit and turned it on, everything worked as far as the ballast and bulb, but the damn light was everywhere. scattering light all over the place. That is a way to get your ass stopped. I ened up removing the kit and stuck with shitty halogens on that car. Unless someone knows of a damn kit or something that you can buy that will cause the bulb to focus the beam (without a retrofitted projector)

Does it get hot during operation? I'm afraid if 10000K can destroy my headlights. the original Osram bulb has a temperature of 4100k. thank you.

El brillo es el mismo siempre! Lo que estas comparando es TEMPERATURA KELVIN, no brillo..
