When Sue Austin got a power chair 16 years ago, she felt a tremendous sense of freedom -- yet others looked at her as though she had lost something. In her art, she aims to convey the spirit of wonder she feels wheeling through the world. Includes thrilling footage of an underwater wheelchair that lets her explore ocean beds, drifting through schools of fish, floating free in 360 degrees. (Filmed at TEDxWomen.)

What makes me angry is that equipment geared towards handicapped individuals is always far more expensive... Its like sport is an exclusive club. A hand trike for example, so a friend of mine could enjoy cycling, is a good 2k more expensive than a regular trike.

Why has no one questioned the wheel chair in the water? Cool, she can dive. but why the wheel chair?

i kinda seems like the audience unconsciously stood up, because they saw her in a wheelchair.

Very inspirational...good to see someone overcoming obstacles in life. Title of the video is incorrect though...this is not 'deep sea' diving.
