Over time, as he grows or the shoe gets worn out, CSPO is happy to make new shoes or adjustments to old ones. His expert keepers work with him using positive reinforcement training and cooperative care to change his shoe and check his physical health twice a day.

We are committed to caring for Chhouk at Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Centre for the rest of his life. If YOU would like to help support the care of Chhouk and other rescued wildlife, check out the best ways below.

@Wildlifealliance Multiple videos you have up of LUCKY show her swaying side to side in place, even when out "roaming." This zoochosis behavior of her swaying side to side is VERY CONCERNING. Free elephants NEVER NEVER do this. ONLY elephants who have been CHAINED in place sway side to side like this! Again, free roaming elephants (who are never on a chain) NEVER sway side to side. This is zoochosis behavior. Has Lucky ever been chained? And when did she lose almost half her right ear and why? (If she has been with you since a baby)
