guys don't even try to do this if you don't feel comfortable in the water, im a professional scuba diver and i try underwater photography in the sea and it was not easy at first. take extreme care & be safe out there.

Love the tips! I have an underwater shoot at the end of the month that will be my first. The 2 things I plan to do different are 1. I’m going to be on scuba along with my safety diver. 2 I will be thoroughly testing the underwater housing I plan to purchase in the water WITHOUT my camera inside!

Yes great video! I've only filmed when snorkeling. Hardest part is keeping the camera still. Even in crystal clear water the waves push you about all over the place! Still the good shots of fish make it so rewarding. 😃

A weighted TryPod I recommend when doing a photo shoot in a pool. That way you can set up the composition, go up for air and your shot is still set when you go back down. Also putting the camera on a long pole is a way to get some underwater shots and staying dry. I use a GoPro on a 15 foot painters pole when I want to get outdoor underwater shots in the wintertime.

Also as you pointed out when you are in the water taking the shots a snorkel is a must.

I did an underwater photoshoot and it was amazing super fun....but at the same time as you said I was voluntarily drowning for 5 hours😂 we made sure someone was holding a metal pole over the top of the water to make sure I and the other models wouldn't drown. I was in an long evening gown and the clothing becomes much heavier making it harder to come back up. So if yall ever try this make sure you have an extra person on the side to help.😄👍

Very funny video.
You've never done this before. A lot of things are easier than you think.
I do underwater model shootings very often. A very important safety precaution for anyone watching this video: Always work in pairs + model. A swimming pool blackout can always happen. Therefore always 1 person outside the water.

How do people open their eyes while filming in water and not get stinged, hurt, or irritated? Whenever water gets in my eyes, it's sooo uncomfortable.
