Derick! I absolutely loved this video! Seriously, you create such feel good content; I find myself grinning like an idiot throughout. To hear you gush over the Dawn re-release really made my day. I'm a Koto Pokemon junkie! It's bad man, real bad. In fact I have Dawn and Turtwig as well as the long sought after Lillie and Cosmog (AmazonJP has her) on the way. Once these arrive I'll have all of the Pokemon trainers Kotobukiya has released so far. I gotta catch them all! Yes? No? I only have 4 figures pre ordered possibly might add more. My most anticipated of 2024 will release this month the Skadi DELUXE Edition figure from Myethos. The other 3 are Amiya by Myethos, Schwi bunny figure by FREEing, and Maid Aris from Blue Archive and manufactured by Goodsmile company

My most expensive preorder is the rerelease of Makoto from persona 5 in her Motorcycle and the rerelease of Miss Sunday with the Alabasta outfit waited for those a long long time

Thank you for sharing your 2024 list - with how the price trend is concluding in 2023, I can understand the flexibility with PO these days and perhaps just wait it out after release to buy at reduced pricing when possible.

Personally, I will continue to PO (which is not too many figures at like 1x for now and mostly inflated by the postpones from 2023 into 2024) for easier monitoring since I tend to lose track of releases.

Hmmmm.. my highly anticipated and figures (3 of them) will likely all be here in month of January and February.

First being Schwarz by Alter, second being Altria Pendragon Lancer by Ques Q and last being Ghost Bride by GSC (most anticipated and likely my figure of the year). All expensive so I be eating cup noodles for sometimes...but glad to clear them right at the start of the year.

Apart from the above, my other anticipated figure will be Wakamo from Neonmax in April. Hoping her QC will be great.

Honorable mention being Mira by Wonderful Works to 'complete' a trio with Mx Chan and Ryza by Max Factory, and lastly Yukinoshita Yukino by GSC. Both in December.

I am doing very much the same in 2024. My list of pre-orders is noticeably shorter compared to prior years.

I don't see the point of pre-ordering these days if the figures will be readily available after they are released, and sometimes at reduced prices at both retail and aftermarket. Not only that, but I also often can't take advantage of combined shipping with certain retailers when I pre-order, which significantly increases shipping costs, and even potentially get them sent in smaller and flimsier box, which in turn increases chances for damage.

Aside from that, I have very limited space for my hobbies. I have but a single room to accommodate my bed, my workspace and my figures and my video games, I really can't afford to purchase something that may potentially turn into a nice-to-have.

With all that said, these are some great pickups for 2024. I can't wait for Chisato and Takina scales, however, my biggest anticipation is Dawn + Piplup rerelease. They are too cute! ❤

Great video as always, have you thought of getting any 1/12 figs? I know that in the goodsmile mystery box you got to two figma statues but have you ever thought of like actually buying one from an anime you like. If i’m not wrong they are releasing two figmas of Lycoris Recoil

Wow i wasn't really a fan of Mirko's figures so far until u showed us that B-style. Holy muscle mommy her powerful pose and expression is so well done. Even the silhouette is so pleasant and seamless.

Didn't know there were Bishoujos of transformers too what. Was that megatron? They look super cool

I was not expecting Fu Xuan to be the first HSR character to get a scale. But I will be preordering her immediately regardless.

Happy New Year! Definitely haven't been preordering as many figures this year due to shipping but I can't wait for the Overlord Gyoso Albedo 1/7 Scale from iDelite coming in Feb. I also have the Dawn on preorder. My jaw drop when I saw it on the release page

While it still is an impressive list for cutting down on orders i did cut down on ordering figures too. Have 7 orders for the year, most of them in the first 6 months. My main reason for spending less on figures is travelling. I'm finally going to Japan in the autumn and going to Sweden for a week in summer, also to visit to Närcon convention there. Meanwhile i still like visiting many anime conventions and i got a shitload of concerts planned too, 12 already not counting local gigs. You see gas prices are very expensive in Europe so you gotta weigh it down where you wanna spend it. The figures i can still buy later if i want, the concerts and conventions not. Every experience is unique and without even knowing could be a once in a life experience. My 2 highlights out of the 7 orders for the year are Attack on Titan statues by LC Studio and i have some Elaina's and the Egg art Rem ordered as well. Might as well pick up the big Elaina figure later (the one you have). But only when she drops in price. Last year i managed to spend €2000 less on merch and figures, i hope i can drop it down another €2000 this year to €3000 total in a year. (side note i went to 20 conventions and a bunch of concerts so yeah i didn't actually save that €2000)

I'm sorry Derick, I left such a long comment before I figured I add my most awaited pre-orders in a separate post. The easy answer will be the Pokemon Iono with Bellibolt and Juliana with Sprigatito by Kotobukiya. I'll continue to buy every single trainer Koto make. I'm also in love with Koto's Trails (Kiseki) line. I've also been picking up every release of those. So yeah, busy year for me as well.

I completely understand “scaling” back on preorders. They get super expensive. I decided a long time ago to limit myself to persona figures only, with the exception of some nendos. Look forward to seeing the pick ups this year.
