holding Shift while dragging clips up or down with the mouse keeps them aligned where they are on the timeline too... I use this when moving clips in an interview timeline to ensure I'm not getting bits out of sync or leaving mini gaps

Hello! I am facing a new issue. I was used to hold shift down in order to activate snap only when i wanted it, and drag my clips around. For some reason I am unable to do so currently...

Thanks Colin. Another time saving tip: Shift + clicking lock, locks all the Audio or Video tracks.

Holding ctrl+shift+/ on any item in the project bin will also duplicate that item. Thanks for another great video, Colin!

Cntrl + Shift + / duplicates stuff in the project panel and names them copy 01, 02, etc. Alt + Select just audio or just video and using arrows to move is a great tip! Thanks Colin.

Oh SNAP!! Thanks Colin. I have to start using the arrow keys more and not use the mouse to move clips up and down. Thanks so much!!

@VideoRevealed Hi Colin - when working with a mouse if you press the Shift key while moving a clip up or down it moves it with perfect frame alignment

Is there any way to turn off the setting that dragging one clip on top of another cuts into and deletes the original? I upgraded to Adobe from Vegas Pro and my old software never did this :(

Good tips. At the same time, I suggest checking your voice audio settings. Exaggerated the noise removal plugin, and the voice sound is so let's say "aerospace". Thanks. Roberto.

I have a lot of problem with this as newbie. If I want to move a clip a few minutes earlier or later in the timeline it’s tortuous, dragging it to the right spot. Is goes by slow fast to very slow. Im never able to get it where it want efficiently.
