The arcades of the 80's and 90's were just a magical place.

How many people knew EXACTLY what game he was talking about in the first 2 seconds?

We are lucky to have been kids in the 90s. Technology was just starting to get good and we got to experience it all.

Everytime I go to an arcade shop, I always hear Colosus screaming.

My 2 brothers, 2 friends, a stranger, and myself, all played the big six person version at our arcade and ended up beating the game. It was a great time and an awesome memory.

When I joined the Marines, I was briefly stationed at a Navy base for training.

This cabinet was set up on the ground floor of our barracks.

The owner set it so that one quarter gave you over 100 lives.

Dude had me at 500lbs and 2 box tvs. I knew instantly which game he was describing.

I remember playing that game usually found a bunch of random kids that needed back up and you just jump on no one ever asks questions. You didn't even learn anybody's name until after you ran out of quarters what a great game.

The BEST time period was 90s arcades! I spent my teen years at mall arcades and played all of these! The Simpsons was my favorite because of the comedy and the wacky story (Smithers kidnapping Maggie because she lost her pacifier and was suckling on a GIANT diamond)😂

I distinctly remember when the 6-player version of this game appeared at our mall arcade. It was a lot of fun, especially the pre-boss taunts: "Nothing moves the Blob!"

Kids will never know how awesome arcades used to be. I miss the 90’s

I can still smell the cigarettes being smoked by every 12 year old at the arcade. Good times.

When you found that machine, you walked in with your tokens, held up your fist, and called out "To me, my X-Men!" And man, did the nerds come running.

Best feeling ever.

Agreed. I grew up throughout all of the 80’s and 90’s, and as a group effort game, there was NOTHING better than the 6-player cabinet of X-Men. Wow was it fun getting all 6 characters going at once on that massive screen.

One of my favs. And it used the art from pride of the x-men. Double win.

Loved this game as a kid. When I was about 15 I saw it at a campground rec room after not seeing it for years. I beat it on 1 quarter with Wolverine. Might be my top video game moment.

They have a refurbished 6 man version of the game in the Geeks Mania arcade in Madison Wisconsin. It was super fun with a pack of friends

I actually got to experience the frenzy of having all 6 players at once. This game was nuts.

There was a single tube X-men machine at our local grocery store growing up. I never missed an opportunity to try and snag a quarter from my Mom if she got one in her change.
I loved this game. 😂

The noises stick with me from their powers. The yelling when you spam colossus was always awesome. Probably night crawler was my favorite tho.
