I believe it's not possible to categorize humans into evil or good. So, I think both Hobbes, and Locke are correct and wrong in some way. Golding would surely agree with Hobbes as he countlessly makes the characters seem violent and selfish. However, Ballantyne would subscribe to Locke because the coral island portrayed themes of peace, and maturity.
