Being a Gen-Xer, above all I demand authenticity. The cynic in me used to think this Xavier Rudd dude was just a hippy poseur who happened to know a couple guitar tricks & appropriates indigenous culture. But the more I listened, the more I respected his artistry and the more I got the feels. I thought, if this guy isn't genuine, then why are tears running down my cheeks? Australians, do you recognize this guy for the national treasure he is? This is your Bob Dylan.

I live in south Texas and have been a fan for years, I was sent on a work trip to Syracuse New York and had a few extra days in the area, so I had a wild hair and went to Ottawa, Canada. I was walking the capital and exploring and I heard music in the distance. I walk about a mile or so and come across the Ottawa Blues Festival. I immediately bought a ticket and went for it. Much to my surprise I see Xavier is going to performing that NIGHT!! I was so excited. He put on a miraculous show and the energy from that crowd was unlike any other I have ever seen. Such Happiness and joy. The People of Ottawa are amazing and I could not have had a better night.
Xavier you are a special gift and I love the mood your music puts me in. I wish more people could find peace like this.

Well said at the end Xavier. The discrimination needs to stop and freedom of choice needs to be restored. I was made to get the vaccine to keep my job. Ended up in hospital with pericarditis. If i could have my time again, i wouldve stood down. Not enough people in your position are voicing their concerns so ive got a lot more respect for you after seeing this fantastic performance.
