By far the best explanation I've found on YouTube, lots of necessary detail, clear instructions, and most importantly for me personally you speak at a good pace that I could follow, unlike a lot of tutorials. Thank you!

I totally agree with Miles Phillip. It is the best instructional video on using a router for cutting rebates in wood that I have come across. I have gained so much from your video. Great job & thank you!

Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise, I am a retired Mechanical Engineer and have taken up woodwork as a hobby, I acquired a Bosch P50 Router a couple of years ago, and your video has given me, by your very clear instruction, the confidence to use it, once again thank you.

This is very informative and educating . To be honest I have router cutters and when it comes to rebating I was using the ordinary straight cutters .thank you very much.

Having bought a new router to cut rebates for drawer bases. I’m new to using a router and I just could not get my head around cutting a 8 mm rebate with a 4.5 mm tongue. I couldn’t find much on you tube using the parallel fence. You video came up and there we go. I was on the right track as I had screwed some cut mdf onto the fence. The only thing I didn’t do was cut the gap in the middle so the cutter could get through 😂😂. Brilliant explanations of the cuts and great tips thank you. I will try to make your jig with Perspex as well. 👏👏👏

Nice video, Mitch.
You explained it very well and showed it.

I am also considering whether to use the makita router.

You have them in your video, I think, too.

Wanted a nice Weekend.

Enjoyed this video, however wondered if there is a link for the rebate fence you were using? Thanks.

have a small Bosch as used here and bought a 1/4in bearing rebate cutter but its too wide so you can put safety plastic on the router...or am i doing something wrong?! Good video

Very informative, thankyou! I have the same handheld router and need to do an edge rebate 5mm width and 8mm depth in american walnut. Your video mentions doing this in steps, what size steps would you recommend? I am using a 12.7 x 19mm straight bit.
