Much better explanation than what I have viewed before.  And the part about learning in a different manner rings true.  As an INTP I needed to understand concepts completely (always questioning why or how) but never forgot them afterwards.  Many of these video's talk about Te as dealing with objective facts and Ti with subjective facts but if the objective fact is not well thought out and scrutinized it may not be as objective as one would hope.

This was really helpful, thanks! As an ENFP with well-developed Te, I was very curious regarding Ti-doms and how we could improve our communication. Now I see that it's not using my Te, but rather using Ne to interact in a productive way! Great video! *and your voice is so nice and soothing...*

I quite honestly use a bit of both, but I think I am an extroverted thinker but heavily influenced by my secondary function of introverted intuition, which allows me to adapt some of the strengths of introverted thinking while still articulating my thinking well and focusing on the necessary aspects of solving a problem, not needing to understand everything (unless I am really interested in doing so, which I often do when I have the time.)

Best description I've heard of introverted thinking. Great vid

@janglepopmelody - Thanks. Yeah that does sound like introverted thinking. Introverted Thinking is more internal, whereas Extraverted Thinking prefers to talk out loud with someone else to come to conclusions. Ti is best when it is able to grasp the big picture and see how everything works together.

For some reason my Extroverted and Introverted Thinking are both UNDEVELOPED. WTF?

Hey, INTP here (Ti dominant). I agree with everything you said except creativity. With their drive to get stuff done a Te user will most likely find the first best solution, whilst a Ti user will try to understand it fully and with that vast understanding will be capable of finding various solutions. Creativity comes more from within than from the outside. Also creativity is much more related to intuition than thinking. I think Te is better at getting stuff done, doing the scientific method and proving stuff, whilst Ti is better at understanding things and coming up with theories. I wouldn't talk much about creativity when it comes to Ti and Te in general, it's a lot more to do with Ne and Ni... correct me if I'm wrong

Agreed. I have the same experience, but am not sure at which level it is.

"grasp big picture and see how everything works together." That is Ti combined with Ne but Ti combined with Se Are more realist.

7:20 that was me in math class. Teacher was almost angry, because i came with solutions intuitively, I never could explain the formula. And also right with 9:18, coming, analyzing, solving. Thank you so much. I subscribe. Can I ask you what Type are you? Also I like your voice and speed, you are really super on teaching.

The creativity thing could be explained better. As a graphic designer, I've met more Ti types in the "artsy world" than Te. I think Te's are more focused on improving things visibly---i.e., they're more likely to have practice a hands-on approach to problems. I see a lot of them in business and management, since the hectic lifestyle suits their think-now-act-now minds. Ti's prefer to analyse the problem from all sides and tend to be more contemplative. They are capable of juggling different perspectives and weaving them to fruit. If Te and Ti were to work together, Ti would be the thinker and Te would be the communicator. Ti would be the one to weave different concepts into a final product, and Te would be the one to devise a way to fit this product into society. But of course, this is if we are to compare ONLY these two functions. Like someone has said here, creativity has to do more with Ne and Ni.

This was a great video! Thank you for it, it explained my personal experience with Ti.. to the T. (; Ti is my tertiary function, which I think can be heavily overlooked. With Ni as my dominant function, I strive to find the beauty and connections that Ti can give to me. In math class, I wouldn't necessarily make up new formulas. Though I would be able to find out the answers, and without writing it down, I would completely forget the steps. It gives you a weird rush! I got questioned about copying my classmates answers at times lol.

What's confusing for me is that I exhibit all of those Ti traits except I am a good teacher and good at expressing my subjective POV. I always railed against maths formulas that I saw as stupid and would make my own. I also need to understand EVERYTHING and have a real sense of confidence in my own subjective analysis of a concept or idea. Problem is I'm an enfp and apparently only use extroverted thinking and it's my third function at that. This is what I find confusing & paradoxical about mbti

they are most definitely different

05:30 It is SUBJECTIVE. Their personal logic from their personal experience.

Very helpful video, thanks. This INTP feels very understood (rare haha) after listening to this. I love the spider web (this wouldn't be one word but should it be hyphenated?) analogy. The other INTP I know sometimes apologizes for "jumping" from topic to topic during a conversation...which amuses me bc it's always completely evident to me how each subject ties to the next and as another INTP:
a. His trains of thought and their connectivity are totally visible to me
b. "Jumping" from topic to topic or idea to idea is how I naturally communicate. I like and prefer it.
This also explains one reason why I gravitate to and appreciate INTJs: they always, always explain things to me (from math to philosophy to psychology to everything) in a way that is very easy to understand...which I very much appreciate.
