Taswell is the single best piece of music to ever come out of videogame soundtracks, and I do *not* say that lightly.

Minecraft IS one of the game with the bests OST

They can be :
- Joyful
- Sad
- Scary
- Goofy

But they all, in their own way, are beautiful and really representative of the game.
Even with the differents composer (C418, Lena Raine, Aaron Cherof, ...), they have all really understood the game and how to express it by the music
Minecraft as some of the best features, as fully random generated world, craft system, free building, ... But what we remember anyway, what make us feel the more nostalgic, is always the music

So huge thanks to those who gave us this game I grew up with

I will always love and remember Taswell, Dreiton, and the two Moog Citys. For quite a long while until the Better Together update which fused the Mobile, Xbox 360, and the Xbox 1 version of Minecraft, the Xbox 1 version only had these 4 music sounds. It was either those, music disks, if not, nothing at all, and I loved all of the sound tracks, even if there were only 4. The calm and relaxing nature of the Moog Citys, the more happy yet chill Taswell, and Dreiton, the music that always encouraged me to go exploring. Good times...

The End and Infinite Amethyst both hit so obscenely hard it's unimaginable. I had an experience laying in a field in the middle of the night watching the stars with Infinite Amethyst playing full volume and it was surreal

I recently rediscovered this song. This is the only song that has one of the best ost for dimensions. The ambience of the bouncing synth, the calm piano, and the nostalgic songs in the beginning of “The End” a true masterpiece.

It makes you feel like your are exploring space at a whole different level. Which is exactly what the end is suppose to describe. Just keep going until you can’t.

The only bad thing about the new music and what makes me prefer older versions if we are talking about Soundtrack, is that Lena Raine's songs are tied to specific biomes.

It's no longer that they are totally different from C418 or that they sound too happy and expressive instead of calm and lonely.
It's more, I think she did a really great job...but

The real problem is mining or building for a long time in a single biome and listening to the same song over and over and over and over again, just because the biome prioritizes it. After a few times, I end turning music off and opening Spotify.

The old music played randomly, you never knew what was coming next or if there was going to be one.

Your favorite song could play 3 times in a row, or maybe hours and hours of continuous playing with music and suddenly, 15 minutes of absolute silence.

It is true that some like Sweden or Living Mice were more likely to ring at sunset, but it made it equally magical and mysterious... not predetermined.

Hope the point got clear enough. I'm not that typical veteran who thinks Minecraft stopped being Minecraft at version 1.2 and I only play alpha, but yet is true I miss some old mechanics.

It's 2017, you're playing with the boys for hours on end. No real concerns, no real stresses. Games were good, life was good. We were happy. We didn't know at the time, but this would be the happiest days of our lives, the simplest days. We were at peace.

God, no matter how much I play 1.12, I'll never get that feeling back. I miss those days. I want to go back...
