Adobe Premiere Pro Tutorial: My Secret Track Height Keyboard Shortcut Technique

After editing 11 Hollywood feature films, I have embraced a lot of keyboard shortcuts in order to make my process most efficient.

These 3 keyboard shortcuts are little-known but extremely helpful when editing projects with a lot of video and audio tracks.

The 3 custom keyboard shortcuts I use every day in Premiere Pro are:

1) Increases all Video track heights in unison
2) Increases all Audio track heights in unison
3) Minimizes ALL tracks back to their smallest size

I hope this tutorial helps make your editing process quicker, more efficient and just plain fun. It has for me!

Until Next Time...

Subscribed! Thanks man. I've been fumbling with the tracks manually for so many unnecessary years! Simply never thought to look it up . Glad I did and found you. Appreciate it.

aren't there defaults for these? If you hold down Alt or Cmd and press + or - then you can increase or decrease either the audio or video only. I don't have a minimize track height shortcut set but I can just use the - key to decrease the size back down. I had to double check when this video was posted to make sure this wasn't an old tip that Adobe adopted because it already exists and I didn't make these custom.

for some people who commented he/she has years of editing but not knowing this is just plain lazy to look at the keyboard shortcuts. nothing crazy about this. your are just too lazy to check out all the keyboard shortcuts & hoping other to 'tell' you about it. for some people (including me) who've been using this kind of shortcuts in fcp7, 1st thing that i looked for when switching to Premiere was this is (and other shortkeys)
