I'm on the side of the coach here.
The team works very hard for winning and Stewart not only is out here dropping balls but he is spreading black magic talismans and diabolical beliefs among the teammates.
In fact the way he keeps the talisman hidden in his sock like a knife can be considered cheating since he is using extra equipment.
The coach simply uses a drill so that butter fingers stops dropping balls while he is out there confusing his teammates with rituals and the ocult.

Mrs. Pepper was the principal every kid deserved. She treated Josh and his family very well after he moved to town following the death of his father, she listened to Josh about who should be hired as the new coach, and she fired this coach after this incident. What a kind soul.

When we talk about bullying in schools it still baffles me how no one ever mentions how the adults can be the biggest bullies!

This dog remembers how he was mistreated and bullied from the bad owner. It ends now!

The fact Bud didn’t bark because it would had stopped the scene, and he can’t talk, so he waited for witnesses to see for themselves

Good scene. The dog is remembering how his former owner (a party clown) would abuse him for a good performance. Even if this is a cheesy animal movie, I miss the days when kids movies would have some mature stuff snuck in, it gave the ending to this movie some emotional weight for sure

Buddy's face at the very beginning of this clip was so heartbreaking. You could see that he clearly remembers what being abused feels like.

I remember watching this in 6th grade for my teen leadership class and thinking “when did this become a story about abuse?”

A bad coach can turn anyone's passion into a lifetime of bad memories and regret.

BUSTED!!!...Parents dont understand how much this really goes on behind closed doors with students and sports. I remember seeing this scene when I was 10-years old and it still has stayed with me even at 36. We need more movies like this in Disney :) (Note: Not about abuse, but about weeding out the bad guys and have strong, principal characters.)

It's moments like this that remind you this movie is more than just animal doing people sports.

My dad's step father did this to him, but instead he used baseballs and hit the balls with a bat at my dad. Sadly because he was abused, it trickled down to me being abused. I don't have kids, but I already know I would never hurt them. At some point a generation has to stop the line of abuse.

A reminder for adults to please speak up no matter how awkward it feels. Even if youre just a stranger. Be a strong adult. Because if a child looks around and no one stands up, they'll take that message home with them for the rest of their lives.

Jeez what a dark and yet sadly appropriate and realistic scene. Damn near heartbreaking watching it and then knowing stuff like this really goes down

Reminds me of this one baseball assistant coach I had when I was in little league;

I was in the batting cage for practice and this assistant coach I had was handling the pitching machine. I got hit in the shoulder from one of the pitches, as he had the power set on high for the pitch, and I dropped the bat hollering. The coach demanded I pick the bat back up but I couldn't and I told him it hurts. The coach immediately shut the machine off and stormed over to me and got in my face, giving me one of those super pissed looks and told me if I didn't pick the bat back up that he would show me true pain. Fortunately, my dad was there and watched what happened but he didn't hear what the assistant coach said to me. When I got out of the batting cage, my dad checked my shoulder and there was a welt on it. Needless to say, the assistant coach was fired that day.

I miss good old original kids movies where they illustrated the real life abusive behaviours unexpectedly in a fun loving theme. I was in the girl basketball team but I never suffered this kind of treatment as my two coaches were calm and patient.

My view of my old high school which was renown for its athletic teaching in my old area were tarnished after the gym teachers in charged of the girls basketball teams were found guilty for sexual assaults and I knew them but never had them as my coaches
