Diraq engineers have discovered a new way of precisely controlling single electrons nestled in quantum dots that run logic gates, bringing the reality of achieving billion-qubit quantum chips closer. What’s more, the new mechanism is less bulky and requires fewer parts, which could prove essential to making large-scale silicon quantum computers a reality.

The research team is led by Professor Andrew Dzurak, CEO and founder of Diraq, a Sydney based start-up that is developing quantum computer processors which can be made using standard silicon chip manufacturing.

Diraq aims to redefine scalable quantum computing by creating billions of qubits on single chip, compared to the hundreds of qubits possible today.

Wow imagine the ions like potassium, sodium, calcium and chloride ions that create the action potentials in neurons but are also creating a summation of electric fields that control the ions as quantum dots enabling quantum computing. There 10million points per neuron in trillion neuron closely intertwined, quantum resonance with fault torelant quantum computing is inevitable.
