you wanna know why they can't track it? because if it can "detect" wifi devices (especially in a dorm) it would be detecting every laptop and phone connected via wifi in your home. Imagine taking an exam and being flagged for cheating because your mom is watching P Valley in the other room or thousands of residents in a dorm watching netflix or studying.
