As a trauma recovery coach, we attract what we accept from others. As children, our care takers program us with healthy or unhealthy attachments. If our parents didn't love us and weren't attuned to us, then as adults we become co-dependent and then accept that bare minimum from others. My darlings, we live below the veil of consciousness until we wake up to our programming. We have to heal those childhood traumas and start loving yourself first. Then once you heal you will be able to see those red flags clearly. Our brain is usually gravitating towards the familiar even if that familiar is abuse. Very important to remember.

Some qualities of a man I recently dated that you if you are high value should never consider:

Never planned a date for us
Has no life goals
Told me I'd have to be the bread winner
Would gas light me and begin to show malice and wrath against me for no reason
Was cheap, introduced me to a thrift store and never bought me anything, not even from the thrift store
Had no money and no future
Did not know who he was
Complained a lot
Didn't have a decent car
Was controlling
Was not genuine
Pretended to be my friend but felt more like he was ready to jump on and condem me at any moment.
Seemed jealous of my accomplishments and talents.
Seemed bitter
Hoarded stuff.
Was always in Walmart looking to buy hot wheels. Yes ladies, I said hot wheels. Toys. He's 57!
Looked at me more like a commodity rather than a person.

The list goes on and on. Listening to myself reiterate these qualities it's embarrassingI even gave him two dates.

Lisa, would you do a whole podcast on BOUNDARIES please? In your opinion, what kind of boundaries does a high value lady set for herself? Everyone talks about boundaries but then never gives a comprehensive list of what they could be! Thanks for this discussion. As a woman who has been married to a narcissist, I can say without hesitation, 'DO NOT RUSH GETTING INTO ANY RELATIONSHIP!.... use time to let them prove who they really are.' We need to get past that first blush of chemistry that can often disguise their true character. Don't rush a relationship!

I'd also like to mention the "better by comparison" dynamic.
Basic decency can truly feel like princess treatment if you're used to abuse and/or neglect.
It's important to decondition yourself from trauma through therapy, shadow work and reconnecting with your joy.
It's also necessary to learn and observe healthy standards and relationships.

Wow! I really needed this! For my whole life, I was so use to guys my age treating me like garbage that whenever I meet a guy who knows how to treat a woman with respect (and they give me the respect, the love, kindness, and the support that I feel that I deserve) I’m almost taken aback and alarmed by it. Now in my 30’s, I realize (and still realizing) that the guys who treated me like garbage when I was younger were hurt and insecure boys.

So I started watching your videos in the beginning of the summer and it helped me to finally leave my extremely toxic, nonprovider ex and the dates i went on after him were like practice and now im dating an older man who treats me so well. We've only been together 2 months and he took me on a 2 week vacation which I've never done in past relationships, he only eats at the best places with me, opens the door, says so many positive affirmations towards me, pays my nails/massages/shopping dates. I also made it clear that treatment like that is a standard that I will always expect and he really puts in so much effort. It feels so good and I've never been more in my feminine. It isn't just money though, we bond over spiritual practices and beliefs and we read together. I'm only 21 but I really wish I would have realized my worth sooner and not taken crap from men/BOYS for such a long time. Thanks for your videos, Lisa!
