Good advice I got was to wash my hands before my cleanser, and then rub my cleanser in my hands for 30 seconds to activate the ingredients. I then wash my face for 1 minute, and I don’t Pat dry, instead I just let my face with dripping water. I know it sounds a little messy (kind of is) and then I let it air dry a bit, until it’s not dripping, and even if my face is still wet I put on my face cream. It has honestly changed the game for me personally.

very very late, but just gotta say: these recs are a godsend! I have sensitive, acne-prone skin (have had acne almost my entire life) and started using tretinoin about a year ago. One of the side effects is dry skin, especially now that it's winter. I'd been looking for ways to build my moisture barrier back up, and what should pop up but this video from a year ago. Ever since I started using the products Karen recommended here, I can see an immediate change in my skin. No more tightness around the mouth, nose, and forehead; bouncier skin and I've woken up legit looking glowy.
