Thank you I started reading acts in the Bible and I love the way you break it down 🙏 this story was new to me the more you read the Bible the more hidden parables you’ll find that you didn’t know

Thank for this video! I have to commend you on these transitions and editing! WOOW! But I found your video after reading this passage and I'm still shocked. I was thinking because Jesus had already died and raised and the Holy Spirit came down, there is grace and forgiveness. So how come he didn't get a chance to repent? God bless you Pastor Timothy!

Good work, Tim! I enjoy the way you move around - kept my attention - I'm a 63 year old minister in Texas. My videos are very "sound" and instructive; but no rolling or jumping 🙂

To everyone that are confused and conflicted about this scripture like I am (trying to find the right answer). I hope this scripture gives you some comfort or maybe even the answer you seek (Job 38-42). Or maybe read the whole story of Job. Peace ✌🏼

Hey Pastor Tim, very creative with your video editing, and engaging. Really helped me understand Acts 5:1-11. Was a little confused after reading the passage but your explanation made it clearer. Mad me reflect on my honesty with God, and for me to see some temptations where my heart is trying to deceive me. Very helpful and praise God

I realize your videos are meant to be short and easy to be understood. Thank you for your videos. There is a bit more to this story because of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in Acts Chapter 2. The story of Annanias and Sapphira speaks of God's protection from wolves who come to deceive and disrupt the church. They would have gained a reputation and standing within the church and who knows what damage they might have inflicted upon to early church by their deceptive motives. By the Gift of Knowledge, the Holy Spirit reveals the lie and they are dealt with immediately. It is important to remember that they were not believers. They were wolves. Fear came over the church because of their death. And consequently, truth became a spiritual focus. Truth becomes a central focus when the Holy Spirit is in the midst of us. The church needs the Latter Rain to fall.

Ananias and Sapphira are accountable for following Satan to fill their hearts with lies, and for breaking the trust and integrity of the Church. Their sin is not only keeping back possessions but deception (Acts 5:4). Lying to the Church is equal to lying to the Holy Spirit (Acts 5:3), the Spirit of truth.

I just can not understand why they would drop dead. This was after Jesus died and rose again. So why did they die and we don't drop dead every time we lie?

I'm so sorry. I consider myself a saved Christian. Everything I've been able to find out about this seems like a cop out. Jesus forgave so many sins in his own ministry, and then took the full wrath of God's punishment for sin, past present and future, on the cross! That is one of the most basic fundamentals that all Christians believe. And then we are told that the books of the Bible are all the fully inspired word of God. So then we get to this passage, and all I keep finding are people's interpretations of this passage, and everyone glosses over the fact that either this is a "critique" made by Luke about Peter's early ministry, or that it "doesn't mean what it says." How are we supposed to understand that Jesus dies for the sin of the world, but then a couple lies, and are "supernaturally" killed on the spot? It doesn't add up, and no one can make it add up. Either Peter killed them, or God did, but we know that the Jesus of the 4 gospels would've never done such a thing, especially after the perfect work he did was FINISHED! I just want one person to say, "yeah, it doesn't make sense." Is it possible that Luke was critical of Peter's early doctrine? And put this in there to "mock or warn" believers of this, and if so, this part (at the very least) isn't holy inspired right? Or it is holy inspired, and God punishes this sin twice? It cannot be both. The beautiful thing about Scripture is that we can compare one scripture to other Scripture for understanding, but this seems to be the "black sheep" Scripture, that no one wants to touch on because it's so divisive and contradictory to the rest of the Bible. Idk.

How is it that Peter would know anything at all about the real estate transaction of Ananias? Peter was not a witness to anything. Peter's accusations are baseless. Such a disgusting story!

Why does this pastor use "Jesus" as a swear word when he falls on the couch and when he's arguing about the name Sapphira?

Jesus tried to save them FROM religion. After his death, they misquoted and twisted his teachings to make a NEW religion. 🙈
