Songs of Faith and Devotion is a masterpiece.

One of the few - if not the only - 80's electronic bands who successfully managed to evolve their sound without compromising and stay relevant in the new decade

This was one of the darkest albums, I owned in the 90s. The other was Nine inch nails- downward spiral. I was in a bad place and unfortunately wanted to stay there. This music was like crack- I couldn't get enough.

I FEEL YOU

[Verse 1]
I feel you, your sun it shines
I feel you within my mind
You take me there, you take me where the kingdom comes
You take me to and lead me through Babylon

[Chorus]
This is the morning of our love
It's just the dawning of our love

[Verse 2]
I feel you, your heart it sings
I feel you, the joy it brings
Where heaven waits, those golden gates and back again
You take me to and lead me through oblivion

[Chorus]
This is the morning of our love
It's just the dawning of our love

[Verse 3]
I feel you, your precious soul
And I am whole
I feel you, your rising sun
My kingdom comes

[Interlude]

[Verse 4]
I feel you, each move you make
I feel you, each breath you take
Where angels sing and spread their wings, my love's on high
You take me home, to glory's throne, by and by

[Chorus]
This is the morning of our love
It's just the dawning of our love
This is the morning of our love
It's just the dawning of our love

Best vocals he ever did is this album, great album, maybe even better than Violator, certainly opened up the dynamic range in a big way with instrumentation and voice.

The album that starter my conversion from a certifiable hater of DM to a firm admirer. Love it or hate it, it converted at least a couple other people I know.

awake352...I agree this is off a great album but my fave is Violator & although a 1990 release, it has a feel of the 80's about it

Tienen un directo que no se lo he visto a nadie más (claro que también tienen unos temas que no tienen nadie más...) los Beatles, pink floyd, depeche mode... tres cumbres históricas

To me this is the album that solidified DM as a great band rather than a good band. To make your arguably best album (Violator) after a decade of releasing stuff alone is impressive. But then shifting genres (synthpop to gospel and trip hop themed alt rock??) on your very next album? And not only that, it actually turns out great? It shouldn't have worked, but it did.
