I ranked all the Mazda exterior colors to determine my favorites. This 2025 Mazda Color countdown includes all 17 colors available in 2024 and 2025.

It’s been 3 years since I made a similar list and video on exterior colors. Mazda has added some new colors and vehicles since then, so an update is needed. Mazda offers a beautiful canvas for these colors.

Machine Gray Metallic is one of my favorites. I am planning to buy a CX-5 Turbo Premium soon. That trim looks sharp in Machine Gray with all the glossy black wheels, grill, mirror caps, and etc.

Very strange and interesting how color preferences can be so different (no one is wrong or right, just what each individual prefers). My list: 5. Black, 4. Artisan Red Metallic, 3. Deep Crystal Blue Mica. 2. Machine Grey Metallic, and still 1. Soul Red (more so on the sedan). For me all the Whites and Tan/Browns would be below 25 (if there were such choices). It is no wonder there are so many color choices from which to choose. I love this channel.

Soul red crystal is my favourite on most Mazdas, but when buying my 2024 CX5 i just saw too many around in that color so I decided to get one in my second favourite color Zircon Sand Metallic. The Zircon Sand with the high gloss black trim, mirrors, wheels, and grill etc. looks absolutely fantastic. I’ve even received lots of compliments from complete strangers. Also got the terracotta leather seats on the inside so it looks great inside and outside.

The forest green...with the terra cotta interior -- nice. I got a 2024 Mazda CX-50 TPP in the Zircon Sand + terra cotta -- gets A LOT of looks and people ALWAYS wanting to race me. Way back in the day, I had a CX7 in black cherry mica with a tan interior...one beautiful combo.

Soul Red Crystal, it glows! I’ve seen a red Mazda badly in need of a wash, out shine a row of other clean new cars.

I got the Platinum Quartz on my Mazda 3 and I’m real happy with it. Doesn’t show dirt or scratches as easily as the darker colors. It looks great with the tan interior too. I do think that Artisan Red is beautiful though. Thanks for posting!

I love the Polymetal Gray Metallic. I drive a Mazda 3 Premium Hatch with that exterior & red interior. It's stunning! Next vehicle for me would be the CX-30 - i like the new Aero Gray or the Platinum Quartz Metallic - with white interior.

Great list Jonathan and pretty much aligns with mine. I think the Aero Gray is awesome, and a CX5 Turbo in that color would look amazing!

I agree with your top 4 own a cx9 in machine Grey, Mazda 3 in soul red and a cx70 in poly Grey. Certain models look better in different colors combination I think the bigger vehicles don't look as good in soul red as the platinum or poly Grey that's why I bought my cx70 with poly Grey with red interior best looking combination for that vehicle

I totally agree with you about putting a bright blue in the lineup. Also, the Artisan Red Crystal is beautiful and I wish that you they would put in on the 50 . Alot of seniors would love this color but the CX 90 is too big for 2 oler people. Come on Mazda give us a bright blue and add the Artisan Red to the 50 model!!

Lapis blue metallic… think Pepsi blue. Awesome. I had it on a 2004 Mazda 6 GT.

It would be nice if Mazda had a color like Toyota’s Cavalry Blue and some kind of medium metallic green. I think they’d look nice on CX-50. We have a used ‘23 CX-50 in that Zircon Sand.

My wife and I have a 2024 CX 5 We get so many compliments on the soul red I can see why it is number one. There isn’t a day that goes by that somebody asked her. What color is that what they love the color

I hope they bring back blazing copper. I had 04 Mazda 6 in that color and it was a looker! I'm tired of dark colors bring back nice bright colors! Are you listening Mazda?!
