Gentleman, i am a scientist .I had recently observed your presentation. You haven't considered the non linearity of the graph. That is essential before deriving the function. Here in ur explanations, data had been pre setup in order to support intended function or graph .Normally, naturally occurring data, i.e., usually non linear . Hence, it is mandatory that the only the data may lead to get the type of function, but, not the function should determine the data. I do appreciate your enthusiasm and eagerness of reaching the learners to be a complete learner with no half boiled feed. I am a graduate from Harvard in AI and work for Federal Ministry of Defence . Calculus is in reality very simple, but in India, very unfortunately, few professors or teachers are so book worm, and they never discuss its application in the beginning to the students. This is a significant reason for many students show disinterest in the mathematics. On my review, Practical approach is quite lagging in teaching system of certain institutes /colleges . I encourage you to work more .Keep you always updated. I always give my support. Good day..Regards Dr.Yasin

I'm an assistant professor. Which means I did study engineering for almost 6 years as a student (4- UG and 2 pg) and I am teaching Engineering for 2 years now. I see comments here saying that we didn't understand the need of calculus. yes. I was of the same kind. but after I became a professor I got to understand those ideas. What helped me is foreign author books. nama oor Vijaya ragavan books la oru mannum irukathu. but on reading foreign author books of any subject we can surely understand the core of any subject with relevance to the application. Any students who are currently studying engineering, I strongly recommend you to use your college library and try to read foreign author books of every subject. That's the only way to get knowledge of what you're studying. it's sad that most of professors now only use local author books Just in a motive of making the students to pass in a subject..

bro im discontinued engineering student because of calculas. calculas aala yenna use adha yeduku apply panalam nu na yosicen then i asked my teacher even they dont know.. later purinchika mudiyathatha padichi mark yedukartha vida summa irunthadalaamnu discontinue panitan :( but ipo feel panran. love you brothers you guys need to go all colleges in city and do some seminor im sure that will help somany inovative engineers.. thanks bro. if can we will meet up (y). inthukulaama discontinue panuvan ivanu sila mutaalgal coment padichitu sirikum avangaluku onu solran. padikartha purichi padinga ilana. thayavu senji padikatheenga.

This is a very very common example used by all teachers in calculus class, , expected more from u, , , lot of inspiring examples available in calculus...

there are two assumptions you could have stated earlier in the problem. one is that the rate of change is always increasing for this example. second is that there is no upper limit to speed for this problem. practically car can reduce speed and after a high speed it cannot increase so in that case how will the equation change.that will be helpful as a second part to this video. great way to whet someones appetite

Hey this is amazing... Now i understand the practical application of calculus. Thank you. You make engineering simple and easy to understand. Great and i support your way of teaching and soon the education system should be changed in India.

Sir really nice one, it would be good if you completely translate the following professors calculus videos
1-Professor Richard Delaware from university of Missori
2-Professor Michael Rossenthal from Florida international university
Please do more videos from Precal to Cal 2
Nantri buddy keep up your work in Tamil

Pls keep on making videos on engineering facts . Most of videos are in english; not said we couldn't understand but the real essence could be get from Tamil. I fully understand the concept of calculus now in real life. Kudos brother. Pls make more video.love you

i think indha calculus la innum simple sola mudiyumanu theriyla thanks bro, now ungaklu 3rd hourla car ena speed pochj nu theriyum na simple 2-3 hrs la car 5 km distance cover pani iruku and 3-4 la 7 km distance cover pani irukanga so 5+7=12, 12/2=6 km speed la poi irukanga ena formula na speed = distance travelled / time taken

It is visible from data points distance is square of time. Also as u told everyone will know y=x2 a parabola. Correct. In case of complex data, please tell how to arrive at equation, Eg one point and slope( y-y1)=-1/m(x-x1) and with two points (Y-y1)/(y2-y1)= (x-x1)/(x2-x1) for straight lines. For non linear equations, we need to track equations, so that it will complete and useful. Thanks for ur wonderful efforts. Feeling why school and engineering colleges don't teach like this easily. Pain of a engineer.
