You've heard about Scrypted and how it can stream your home security cameras to HomeKit, but how do you actually set it up?

In this video, I review the TP-link Tapo C310 home security camera and get it connected to HomeKit Video using Scrypted.

Note, that this is not a sponsored video. I bought this myself while looking for a solution to my camera problems. The link above is an affiliate link and I receive a small commission if you buy from the link. It was $29.99 at the time of the recording. I have no idea if that will change.

Topics covered in this video:

1. How to install and set up Scrypted for streaming your cameras to the Apple Home app
2. Installation and setup of the Tapo C310 2k home security camera
3. How to use Scrypted with any ONVIF-compatible security camera
4. How to use the Tapo app to do your initial camera setup
5. Wiring and installation of the Tapo C310 camera.

00:00 - Intro, what's wrong with my current setup
00:45 - overview of the Tapo C310 camera
01:38 - Intro to Scrypted and its capabilities
02:44 - Installing Scrypted on Proxmox VE

The million dollar question is whether or not you were able to get more than one working? When I add a second camera, it just cycles through them and they go on and offline continuously. Were you able to make it work with more than one?

Does it record? Mine doesn’t. Just streams only.
