Insider trading with fake money is wild

If you had inside info on HINZ what are you doing in at school

Insider Trading because you went all in on a random guess with FAKE MONEY. That professor is wild.

The truck thing reminds me of when a guy tested his laundry in a clothes washer

That insider trader bit, the professor joked. He wasn't serious.

Picked up an old Philco clock radio off a pile of garbage on the roadside. When I plugged it in, it started making crackling and sizzling noises. Startled, for some weird reason I swatted the thing. Scary noises stopped. I used that thing for many years. It would wake me up with the radio- but if I didn't get up, that mechanical buzzer alarm would peel the paint off the walls a minute or two later.

The "spike" in sales they were hoping for is already priced in. The market assumes things.

If the sale is higher than or lower than what is already expected, then you can make money on the stock market. But that involves detailed analysis on several industries and comparing historic implied volatility with realized volutility for any kind of disconnect. If they usually do well at earnings then eh, sure, probably.

Funny story,

Last December, I didn’t want to go to school. It was Monday, and I didn’t sleep the night before. So I told my mom that I threw up, my stomach hurt and I thought I might puke again. She let me stay home (which she doesn’t usually allow) and I was happy. One of my friends had vivid and was also home so I was playing video games with him. I told him I was “sick” and my “symptoms”. Later, I started feeling actually sick and he told me I should try a vivid test since I sit next to him in lunch and a few other classes. I tested, expiring a negative result due to my faking. But you’ll never guess what happened. I. Had. Covid. I stayed home the entire week except for Friday to go to the school dance, best choice of my life (I started dating my gf)

One time at my house we had a power surge that for whatever reason broke our subwoofer. a few months later (i live on the west coast) last month actually, we had a really bad bomb cyclone that knocked the power out for a few days. when the power came back on the sub was working just fine. its not an idea but it seems appropriate to tell that story here.

3 hits close to home. When I was maybe 10 or 11, I wanted to skip math one day and told my homeroom teacher that I felt sick. She took me to nurses office, called my mom, we went to actual doctor and it turned out I had Chickenpox. Fun times.

As an IT guy, percussive maintenance works more often than you'd think. It's not the kind of thing you do if it isn't broken yet, but if it is broken, sometimes it "unbreaks" lol

Had a similar project back in high school. My partner and I were pretty lazy about it since we had much harder classes to focus on. So we just invested a equal division of our fake dollars into the first 3 companies we could think of. We ranked 7th place out of 20, and were the only ones in the top 10 that didn't have Google stock.

Lost a small model builders screw into the carpet. I searched for it for half an hour. Then I took another one, let it fall down while following its path. Picked up both of them in seconds as the second came to rest upon the first one. Not near, not close but right on top of it.

I live on the third floor of an apartment building. I bought a 55 inch tv and had no one to help me carry the thing up stairs. So me the tiny 5 foot latina pushed the tv end over end like a cartwheel up 3 flights of stairs very carefully. Worked like a charm

During school years about 13 years old I was doing my SAT exams, I had a really bad stomach that would make me buckle under the pain, my parents and teachers thought I was lying to get out of the exams, a trip to A&E revealed appendicitis and 3 hours later I was having my appendix out

Mine was buying the college text books the week before the final exams of this simple college course. Studied the materials needed to be taken on. Then after the exam, Returned the books to the bookstore for full refund. This ONLY worked due to some factors: I attended all classes. Paid attention, took good notes. Professor didn't require any proof of reading of materials or in class exams. Professor gave us EXACT details of what the final would cover. So once that was all laid out, I realized I had a rare opportunity of 'buy books, and use, then return for full refund." Only happened once. Sadly none of my other classes were structured similarly. Hopefully this tip can help save the next poor college student some gas money.

I actually have a similar story to the strep throat one. I told my mom my throat felt weird, and this had already happened a few times before. She took me to the doctor and turns out I have hypothyroidism.

Yeah. I didn't want to go to school so I told mom I didn't feel well and had a headache. She looked suspicious but she was late to work so she said, "Okay. There's juice in the fridge."
After she left, I really did start feeling bad, but I didn't think I was actually sick. I layed down on the couch to watch tv and fell asleep.
When she got home from work I had a fever of 103 and and was breaking out in red spots. I had chicken pox.
