tbh i have acne prone skin and vaseline clears my pimples overnight if i sleep with it on. my skin is pretty much clear when i do this but i dont do it everynight because i gotta wash my pillowcases more frequently

vaseline/petroleum jelly is actually an entirely pure mixture, with no additives or chemicals. i also have VERY acne/irritation prone skin, so intense that if i use the wrong product even once i’ll have breakouts, hyperpigmentation and rashes for like a week. i use vaseline every time i get irritation and it works like a CHARM. i’m telling you, not only does it intensely moisturise it also protects your skin by forming a barrier, and if you put it on your eyelashes overnight it works as a growth serum! it also removes makeup, if diluted with a bit of water it acts as a melting balm. seriously, get yourself some vaseline!

I have dry skin and i am currently slugging I do it every night now and i have a suggestion for you if you have acne prone skin or oily skin, you can still try slugging but its not really slugging because instead of applying a thick layer you should be applying a thin layer instead (i suggest using the vaseline jelly stick instead so its easier to apply) or you can just put it on irritated and/or dry spots instead if you are still here reading i am really grateful and thankful because i know this is a really long comment so sorry if you are busy but are interested and had to read so much❤😊
Edit :- I honestly wouldn't suggest slugging to anyone anymore but if you want to try it you can and you can see if it helps your skin or makes it worse. I posted this comment two months ago and slugging was working well for me back then, but I stopped because of my busy schedule and when I tried it again a few days ago it was not working for my skin anymore. It made these bumps grow, they are kinda like a mixture of pimples and a mosquito bite but Its not red. So I am thinking of giving it a try once more and this time I will take pictures of my face before and after slugging and I will try to update you tomorrow morning.

make sure you do this right before bed and wash your face right when you wake up! vaseline easily clogs pores and can cause acne

I actually use Vaseline as a cleansing balm, and it works I use the Coco Vaseline one. It’s great for taking off heavy make up.

For my skin it doesnt work. I remember one time I put vaseline on my face and the other day I had small pimples... But if it works on you, keep doing it because we all have different skin types ❤

If you have darker lashes you can use Vaseline as clear mascara and you can also use it to shape up your brows (doesn’t really worry for bushy brows) and you can melt Vaseline with any type of oil ex:coconut or olive oil and works as a clear gloss
