Very nicely done video, which must have taken quite a long time to make. So many beautiful aerial shots of the area. Whoever was in charge of shooting the individual video clips had a very good eye for composing the shots.

However, there was one glaring problem with the script... it perpetuates the myth that one can expect over 300 sunny days per year in the Tri Cities. This claim goes back to an old bit of hyperbole from the Chamber Of Commerce, years ago. Their methodology for coming up with this claim was that if -- at ANY point in the day -- they saw the sun for even one minute, that was considered a sunny day. Which turned around the other way will tell you that in the Tri Cities there are about sixty days a year when you will never even see the sun for a minute that day.

I've been tracking the sunny days this year using a more reasonable methodology: were there more sunny hours of the day than cloudy? In other words, a day with an hour of sunshine and the entire rest of the day clouded over... that's a cloudy day using my methodology. But a day with 5 hours of cloudiness and 8 hours of sunshine... that's a sunny day, by my way of thinking.

Using that methodology, in the first 11 months of 2022 we have had 202 days of sunshine. If we assume that December will have roughly as many days of sunshine as November did, that will put us at 212 days of sunshine for the entire year... an entirely different reality than the claim of "over 300 days of sunshine" which you made in this video. Why tell people something about the Tri Cities that really isn't true? You don't need to sell that way. The Tri Cities is a wonderful place to live... even if the truth is that we only get over 200 days of sunshine each year, not 300.
