This video will teach you the concepts of factoring from the beginning, and go through several examples to make sure you have a solid understanding of factoring before moving on to more difficult questions.

Factoring is a crucial skill to have in high school math, because it will be used in many chapters and units. At the same time, factoring is one of those areas in math class in which a lot of students struggle.

Im 32 and love math but Im missing a ton of fundamentals. I got behind a year in high school in 2004 and the teachers left me in the dust because I was there lost cause. Ive done ok without it but my hobbies and philosophical endeavors always remind me of how I need to nail it down for a more fundamental understanding. I am building a robotic arm and this requires a some Trig. While trying to learn it I realized my algebra was trash so now I am just going down the rabbit hole. How come I can learn more things through Y.T videos than actually wasting my life away at school?

Watching these videos have helped me so much, having so many different teachers through the past 4 years makes it so difficult to learn anything when they don’t overlap in some areas. I’m currently working on solving quadratic equations by factoring and I realized none of my teachers have ever gone over what factoring is. They expected that I had already learned from a previous teacher when none of them have taught me.

Quick tip for parents out there; if you don’t want your kids to struggle in math, I highly advise against Montessori schools. I started doing much better again once I got back to public school.

It's over 5 years since I've been back to school. I have all my old notes, but there's definitely a greater learning correlation from just reading notes versus audio & seeing someone do the work. Thank you for this :).
