Watermelon Slim and the Workers playing live on Thursday night April 9, 2009 at the East Coast Blues and Roots Music Festival also known as Bluesfest.
Bluesfest is held over 5 days every Easter in Byron Bay Australia.
This is a sampling of a number of songs performed that night on the Festival's Jambalaya stage.

I saw him live a couple of weeks ago, literally the day before he turned sixty years old. He had more energy, passion, intensity and life in his broken-down body than most young bands combined. He was amazing; his studio albums (though good) don't do him justice. He's also a very friendly guy. I talked to him after the show for a while. Definitely a person to look up to, love and cherish forever.
