i looked at dance of the goblins back in 2005 in high school. There's a lot of stuff that I couldn't do at that time, and had to figure out myself over the years (ex: double harmonics, and fast shifting techniques). Bazzini also had other compositions like Calabrese and the grande etude, which are also challenging

I loved Menuhin's playing, nowhere near as much as Jascha Heifetz. I would be interested to know which recordings of Menuhin's are unmatched today. As far as athletes are concerned, when you look at the far superior footwear and running tracks that exist today, the times of athletes today compared to the athletes of the past aren't all that different.
