My head-canon is that the main girl met the guy at a party or something like that, found out he had a girlfriend, and then used one of her voodoo dolls to create some sort of drama. The guy however, eventually found out about this girl's voodoo and is now only with her for the sake of staying alive. His actual girlfriend (the blonde girl) also figured out the whole voodoo thing and is now just trying to have some sort of relationship with her boyfriend, knowing full well that this psycho girl could find out and kill them if she really wanted to.
